Meeting Houses of Early New England: An illustrated talk in Lempster, NH
Peter Benes, will give an illustrated talk on the "Meeting Houses of Early New England" at 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 13th, in the 1794 meeting house on Lempster Street in Lempster, NH. Peter Benes is the Director of the Dublin Seminar for New England Folklife at Historic Deerfield. Peter will discuss not only the architecture of these structures but also their historical context and social significance. Peter will give some special emphasis to the meeting houses of New Hampshire and Vermont. Copies of Peter's new book, "Meeting Houses of Early New England", will be available at a discounted price $30.00 at the talk. Free Admission to all.
